This old flowing is 550 foot deep it has been flowing since 1919, they built a swimming pool around it at one time until my uncle Daniel put a boat mot er in it one day and clacked the pool the well is the only water supply for Cambray Plantation it is about 6" pipe in to the ground it has a old surp bolder war the water flows into there are some elafontears growing around it they get about six foot tall as a kid growing up grandma mad us kids wash off at the well be for coming the house she would bring us sop and wash rag and told us to wash off if these old well could talk it would have Meany stores to tell

The old smoke house

The old old smoke house it stoud here for a long time it has smoked meany of meat like hams and bacon and deer in the old days they smoked there meat they would have to build a fire on the durt floor and keep it going for two or three weeks it could not have a flam in the fire jest smoke they would use green wood to make it smoke they would hang the hams and slabs of bacon from the rafters this was one of my dads jobs to keep it going in the durt floor they put soult in the durt to keep the bugs off the meat

1789 Plantation

Hello My name is Kevin Lang. I live in the oldest Plantation in Camden County It was built in 1789 by William Lang. It's name is Cambray Plantation. Me and my wife and son live in the Plantation. It ones was the biggest Plantations in Camden county. In this photo is my grandmather Jessie L Colson. She moved here when she was 19 years old and she died when she was 81 years old in 1981.
